Dr Ray Cheung Chak-chung received the B.Eng.(Hons) and M.Phil. degrees in computer engineering and computer science & engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 1999 and 2001 respectively, and received his Ph.D. degree in computing from Imperial College London (IC) in 2007. He received the Hong Kong Croucher Foundation Scholarship and Fellowship for his doctoral and visiting scholar research work at IC and UCLA. In 2009, he visited the Department of Electrical Engineering at Princeton University as a visiting research fellow. His current research interests include High-Performance & Customisable Biomedical and Bioinformatics Computing, Reconfigurable Trusted Computing, VLSI/FPGA Circuit Designs, Cryptography, System-on-Chip Architecture, Embedded System Designs. He is currently the research group leader of the CityU Architecture Lab of Arithmetic and Security (CALAS). He is currently the Director of CityU Apps Lab (CAL) supporting Campuswide Mobile Application development. He received the CityU Teaching Excellence Award in 2012.
